Resolutions protesting delivery ofkos###r meat by slaughter houses on the Sabbath and threatening a buyers’ strike unless the practice ceases were adopted at a meeting under the auspices of the Union of Jewish Laymen of Greater New York (Agudath Balabatim) held at the Hias building.
Taking part in the protest were the Vaad Harabonim, the Agudath Harabonim, the Degel Harabonim and representatives of 120 synagogues in the city. Benjamin Koenigsberg presided.
