Eddie Cantor Sponsors Block and Sully Debut in ‘kid Millions’ Movie

Block and Sully, famous Jewish team of radio and vaudeville comedians, made their featured screen debut recently when they stepped before the cameras in Eddie Cantor’s fifth annual musical comedy for Samuel Goldwyn, “Kid Millions.” They were selected for their joint role by the banjoeyed comedian, who is making their advent to pictures a personal kind of sponsorship.

Ethel Merman, Ann Sothern and George Murphy have the other featured parts in the film, augmented by a cast of more than fifty of the famous “Goldwyn Girls.” Roy Del Ruth is directing, with Seymour Felix in charge of the musical sequences. “Kid Millions,” to be released through United Artists, is an original story by Arthur Sheekman, Nat Perrin and Nunnally Johnson.
