The rising waters of the Vistula River today spread over Pelcowicna, suburb of this city, and compelled its evacuation by the population. The synagogue in the town was flooded.

The towns of Sandomierz and Zawichost have been completely inundated with scores of victims reported there. The number of Jews among the victims in these two towns remained unknown yesterday.
