The German and Austrian War Veterans Association of Newark and vicinity, at a meeting here, unanimously voted to reaffiliate with the German-American League of Essex County, representative body of German-American citizenry, from which they had voluntarily withdrawn a year ago due to differences in policy which included the Nazi situation.

Following a report on the meeting held in Paterson two weeks ago, the local association gave a vote of confidence to its commander, Richard H. Krueger, and the other delegates to the National Federation of German and Austrian War Veterans who were among the proponents for a definite neutral stand in religious and political affairs. The Federation affirmed this stand in a positive way after two constituent posts, one from Hudson County and the other from Manhattan, of reputed decidedly pro-Nazi sympathies, withdrew from the Federation. The Newark delegates were frankly satisfied with the exit of the alleged pro-Hitlerites.
