TO MEET NEXT MONDAY

Letters were sent out this morning signed by Deutsch notifying the members of their appointment. Arthur Simon is expected to send letters calling a meeting for next Monday at City Hall. Deutsch left for a vacation this morning.

It appeared yesterday that the desultory warfare of the last year between Shochtim Union Local 440 and the Vaad Shochtim Oifes, rival slaughterers’ unions, will be ended in the near future when representatives of both groups yesterday signed an agreement at Simon’s office to consolidate the two unions according to the findings of a Board of Arbitration.

The Arbitration Board comprises Arthur Simon, chairman; Rabbi Moses Rosen, Louis Boudin, S. Erdberg, Rabbi Ephraim Kaplan, Louis J. Gribetz and Rabbi Raphael Morishansky.
