An amendment to an immigration act passed by the last session of Congress gives new hope to those who came to this country prior to June 1, 1933, and for whom there are no permanent records of admission, according to a report issued by the Hebrew Sheltering and Immigrant Aid Society yesterday.

Those persons who can show that before that date they could not be deported to countries to which it was lawful to deport them and were here as political or religious refugees may legalize their stay in this country if they fill out prescribed forms before June 8, 1935.
