The pogroms in Constantine should be a warning to the Jews of Palestine, the London Times declared editorially today. While the paper admitted that economic motives played an important part in the massacres, the affair in the main resembled the 1929 riots in Palestine.
Palestine Jews should take the lesson to heart, the London daily said, since lately “Jewish extremists in Palestine had been emulating Nazi methods, although the Jews hate the Nazis.”
