Morris Rothenberg, president of Zionist Organization of America, announced yesterday that the Palestine Bureau of the organization, at 111 Fifth avenue, had been informed by the British Passport Control office here that 650 certificates had been issued by the Palestine government for intending immigrants of the capitalist category, persons possessing $5,000 or more.

Mr. Rothenberg pointed out that heretofore the practice of the Palestine government had been to supply the Passport Control Office in this city with batches of 100 certificates for “moneyed” immigrants to the Holy Land. The number of such immigrants during the past year, he said had increased to such an extent that this limitation proved onerous. On representations of the Zionist Organization of America to the British Passport Officer for an increased number of certificates of the capitalist category, the Jerusalem officials had dispatched to the local British Passport Control Office the additional supply of such certificates, he said.
