P. Weltman, local Jewish fruit merchant, is being held on a technical charge of manslaughter in connection with the death of Jack K. Petzals, head of the Ottawa Nazi group.

Petzals was returning with a group of Nazis from a meeting when his car collided with the truck owned by Weltman. Both vehicles were smashed, and occupants were thrown violently to the roadway.
