Two groups representing the American Agrojoint and the Ort, Jewish organizations for settling Jews on the land in Russia, left Moscow today for Biro-Bidjan on a trip of inspection.
Dr. Joseph A. Rosen, director of the Agrojoint, accompanied by Dr. E. A. Grower and S. E. Lubarski, constituted the Agrojoint commission. Messrs. Zeglenitzky and Abraham Wenstein, directors of the Ort in Russia, were also on the train but traveling independently.
Before leaving Moscow both groups officially informed the Comzet, official Russo-Jewish settlement organization, that their trips were in no way connected with any plans for participation in the settlement of Jews in Biro-Bidjan.
