The entire Jewish population of Lucknick, which was completely destroyed by fire, has been transferred to neighboring towns, where they are being taken care of by Jewish organizations.
Many Jews were injured in fighting the flames in the little town. More than 100 Jewish houses, including the synagogues and school, were destroyed by the fire.
