The Jewish Welfare Board yesterday brought to a close a two-day conference on campaigns at the Y. M. H. A., Ninety-second street and Lexington avenue.

A resolution was adopted calling for a national annual enrollment month for community centers, preferably at the beginning of the season. “This would concentrate attention during a specific period upon our movement,” the resolution said, “and national publicity could be planned.”

Another resolution reiterated the conference’s endorsement of the policies adopted at the 1933 conference which were as follows:

ENDORSE 1933 POLICIES

“All inclusive membership, on an installment basis where necessary, leading to a sustained annual membership.

“In membership promotion any attempt to exploit membership solely for revenue purposes should be avoided.

“The centers should continue their policies in behalf of unemployed members in retaining their affiliation on a basis which will permit them to enjoy the full privileges of the association and also to maintain sustained contact with the center and the community.”

Speakers yesterday were: Charles Nemser, Harry S. Albert and Philip R. Goldstein. Louis Kraft was chairman.
