This city will be the scene of a statewide conference early in November to organize campaigns in every city in Illinois, exclusive of Chicago and the metropolitan area for the United Jewish Appeal and other Jewish causes.
Seventy-seven “downstate” communities will participate in the conference and will be represented by 250 delegates. Rabbi Ferdinand M. Isserman of St. Louis will deliver the main address at the conference.
