The local Y. M.-Y. W. H. A. embarked upon a city-wide drive tonight to achieve a membership of 5,000 and the support of 6,000 persons for its activities.

The campaign, which will continue until November 15, is under the leadership of Samuel Klein, who led a recent drive which brought more than 200 new members to Temple B’nai Abraham.

County Tax Commissioner Max Drill heads the basic membership unit; Moe Fast, gymnasium division, and Abraham Mankowitz, activities enrollment. Rabbi A. G. Robison, executive director of the “Y,” is acting in an advisory capacity. Men who already have pledged cooperation are Assistant Attorney General Louis J. Cohen, Harry A. Braelow, Judge Joseph Siegler, Samuel I. Kessler, Michael A. Stavitsky, Dr. Robert Dollinger and Dr. N. N. Rasnick.
