A new drive to force the United States into a trade agreement with Germany so that the Hitler government may be in a more advantageous position to obtain vitally needed raw materials, was seen here today.

Officials of the German government have expressed hope that within the next twelve months, a trade pact between the United States and Germany will be in operation.
