A score of outstanding American photographers and illustrators will exhibit examples of their art, illustrative of the problems and work of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies, at the John Levy Galleries, opening October 29, according to an announcement by Mrs. Lewis L. Strauss, chairman of the art exhibit committee of the women’s division of Federation, which is sponsoring the event.
The list of photographers includes Margaret Bourke-White, Edward J. Steichen, Dr. Arnold Genthe, Lusha Nelson, Lena G. Towsley, Herbert Pels, Remie Lohse, H. I. Williams and Dr. Maximilian Toch. Among the illustrators are Howard Chandler Christy, James Montgomery Flagg. E. R. Schabelitz, Edouard Benito, Frank M. Lieberman, McClelland Barclay and Boris Deutsch.
