Louis Lipsky, former president of the Zionist Organization of America and national co-chairman of the United Jewish Appeal, will attend the semi-annual meeting of the Seaboard Zionist Region executive committee here Sunday.
The meeting will take place at the Y.M.-W. H. A. Rabbi Edward L. Israel, president of the Seaboard Zionist Region, will preside.
Members of the appeal committee have been invited to meet jointly with the region executive committee, with a view to adoption of measures to make the holding of an annual Palestine campaign obligatory upon all communities located in the borders of the region.
The Jewish National Fund and the Kfar Ussishkin colony in Palestine are scheduled for consideration. Publication of a monthly bulletin and plans for a membership and shekel campaign are also on the agenda.
Reports will be made for Hadassah, both Senior and Junior, the Seaboard Zionist Youth Region and Young Judaea, while Simon J. Levin, in the director’s statement, will tell of the progress in the Region since the last conference, which was held in Richmond, Va.
