Muster Forces for Fund Drive of Federation

All branches of the amusement industry will be canvassed thoroughly on behalf of the crucial two million dollar campaign for the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies, a gathering of men prominent in the industry decided at an organization meeting following a luncheon at the Motion Picture Club under the chairmanship of Al Lichtman of United Artists.

A complete plan of organization involving a score of teams to reach every branch and subdivision of the amusement industry, was submitted to the division and approved.

Jacob A. Stein, of the Fisher Millinery Corporation, has been chosen chairman of the millinery division of Federation, Samuel D. Leidesdorf, chairman of the Business Men’s Council, announced yesterday.

Harry A. Steinberg of the Consolidated Millinery Company, and Joseph Rabinovich, of Otis, Rabinovich & Otis, Inc., have been named co-chairmen.

Fred S. Goldstandt, of the Equitable Life Assurance Society, has been appointed associate chairman of the insurance division of Federation, according to an announcement by Ralph G. Engelsman, chairman of the insurance division.

In honor of William Goldman, William P. Goldman, and Herman Lissner, and to further the fund-raising campaign of the men’s clothing and allied industries division of Federation, a testimonial dinner and dance will be held by the division Sunday evening, December 23, in the Hotel Commodore, Jerome I. Udell, chairman of the division, announced yesterday.

Max D. Steuer will be a guest speaker at the affair.
