Thrift House, the permanent rummage shop conducted to raise funds for Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies of New York City, is in the market for damaged, cast-off, and other unsalable merchandise, the stock-in-trade out of which it has earned $25,000 a year clear profit for Federation, according to an appeal broadcast yesterday to New York businessmen by Mrs. Julius Ochs Adler, Thrift House head.
