Three Illinois Cities Open Appeal Campaign

With a mass meeting in this city tonight, a campaign for the United Jewish Appeal will be launched which includes also Elgin and Aurora. Rabbi Herman E. Snyder of Springfield will be the principal speaker.

The general chairman of the tri-city effort is headed by A. M. Hirsch, manager of the Aurora Beacon-News. The vice-chairmen are Joseph Lewis for Joliet and Ben Miller for Elgin, who with Mr. Hirsch are actively in charge of the drive here. Arthur L. Pulkin is secretary and E. Friedman, treasurer.
