Comparing the Jewish situation in the United States with that of the Catholics, the Reverend Charles E. Coughlin, “radio priest,” in an interview today with a representative of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, expressed the hope that America will re-open its doors to Jewish immigration from Germany and other European countries, since in his opinion conditions are certain to improve here.
Father Coughlin also expressed the belief that anti-Semitism in America is “either dead or dying.”
