Former Police Commissioner Grover Whalen and Borough President Samuel Levy are among members of a city-wide Citizen’s Committee sponsoring a “maintenance cost campaign” for the Hebrew Kindergarten and Infants Home, it was announced yesterday. The committee is being formed by Maurice Levin, president of Hearn’s Department store. Other members of the committee, of which Mrs. Levin is chairman, are Max Steuer, George D. Simon, and former Health Commissioner Shirley W. Wynne.

The Home, 35 Montgomery street, is one of the oldest child welfare agencies functioning on the East Side.
