authorities to broaden the drive against the Jews has already led to excesses against the Jewish population.

In Westphalia storm troopers and civilians attacked the Jews on the streets of a number of towns. Jewish customers in Jewish shops have also been molested. An aged Jew, eighty years old, was injured by anti-Semitic attackers in Nie-dermarsburg.

Der Angriff, mouthpiece of Propaganda Minister Paul Joseph Goebbels, ridiculed the London boycott conference editorially, commenting that Untermyer must be feeling low indeed when “he was compelled to cross the ocean, although unwell, to organize a non-sectarian anti-German boycott.”

“Untermyer fears that his Jews who support the boycott will lose money to their Aryan competitors and to those Jews who do not participate in the boycott against Germany. That is the reason for his decision to organize a non-sectarian boycott,” Der Angriff said.

The Voelkischer Beobachter, Chancellor Hitler’s own paper, also carries sarcastic editorials and news stories from London.

The boycott conference will open in London on November 24 and will continue for several days thereafter. Jewish and non-Jewish delegates from seventeen countries are expected to attend.
