San Francisco financiers and stock brokers wended their way today to the offices of the dean of the financial district, Isaac Strassburger, on the occasion of his eighty-third birthday.
Sixty-eight years ago he came to San Francisco from Germany and found work in a drygoods store. Today he celebrated his birthday in the building that bears his name. The brokerage house of Strassburger & Co., which he founded in 1880, now is carried on by his son Lawrence.
