The anti-Jewish riots in Praha which started yesterday and in which forty were injured were repeated today despite the strong measures taken by the police.

Anti-Semitic crowds made attempts to break into the old synagogue on Yarozolimska street but were dispersed by the police. Another attempt was made by anti-Semitic mobs to attacks the Beth Haam, where all the Jewish and Zionist organizations have their offices but the police arrived in time to check it.

Attempts to loot Jewish shops were made in different districts of the city but were hindered by the police patrols which are now guarding the Jewish-populated sections of Praha.

Today’s anti-Semitic demonstrations were very similar in strength and in character to yesterday’s. Agitators were endeavoring to direct the demonstrators to Jewish enterprises. Crowds of Czech nationalist youths were especially active in the attempts to raid Jewish business firms.

Dr. Cerni, the Czechoslovakian Minister of Interior, has issued assurances to the Jewish leaders that “the government is firmly determined to protect all citizens irrespective of creed, and possesses sufficient forces to carry out its determination.” The Jewish leaders were empowered by the Minister to make this assurance public.

Dr. Angelo Goldstein, the Jewish member of the Czechoslovakian parliament, intervened today with the government, pointing out that ###pite the fact that the demon-###ons of the Czech nationalists ###ected against the Germans, ###exists that the entire move-### turning against the Jews, ### standing the fact that the ###e in no way associated with
