An unprecedented case of Arab pickets ejecting Jewish labor from building work took place here today as a result of friction between Jewish and Arab labor unions.
Led by Kakhri Nashashibi, an organizer of the Arab unions, several dozens of Arab pickets surrounded a number of new buildings and forced the Jewish laborers to leave the work. The buildings belong to non-Jews.
The incident probably will lead Jewish labor unions to take measures to eliminate Arab laborers from the extensive building work now under way by Jews in Palestine. At present, thousands of Arabs are working in the Jewish building trades in Palestine. No less than 7,000 Arab laborers also are engaged in the Jewish agricultural enterprises.
