All heads of publishing concerns and publishers of newspapers in this country must be native born Brazilians as a result of a law which went into effect today. The entire Jewish press of the country faces reorganization as a result of the law.
Brazilian papers today were lavish in their praise of Dr. Horacio Lafer, Jewish member of parliament, who introduced a resolution calling for the recognition of the Soviet Union. Dr. Lafer formerly represented Brazil at the League of Nations in Geneva.
