Messenger is Freed in Soliciting Charge

Magistrate Louis Brodsky yesterday dismissed the case of Milton Brown, messenger for the Gates of Mercy Centre, 53 Lewis street, who was charged by the Department of Public Welfare with soliciting funds without a permit.

Similar charges against two other messengers of the Gates of Mercy Centre will be aired before Magistrates Brodsky and Greenspan on January 29 in Municipal Term Court.

Tomorrow afternoon a messenger of the United Relief Association, 216 Madison street, will appear in the First District Court to answer the same charge.
