Indications of intensified Arab agitation concerning the Palestine land problem were seen today following High Commissioner Sir Arthur Wauchope’s reception of an Arab delegation yesterday which presented a demand that measures be taken against the transfer of land to Jews.

The demand is seen as an outgrowth of the clash Thursday at Harathiya, where an Arab was killed by police gunfire and three policemen were injured by stones hurled at them when they attempted to keep Bedouins from preventing the reoccupation of land owned by the Jewish National Fund.

The Bedouins, who had been grazing their flocks on the land, took the question of ownership to court, which ruled in favor of the Jewish National Fund. Following the decision, the incensed Arabs tried to rout the police when they appeared on the land, but were themselves dispersed when fired upon.
