Plan Tubercular Hospital in Tel Aviv

A spacious plot of land in Kiryath Knavim, near here, has been turned over by the Jewish National Fund to the League for the Prevention of Tuberculosis of Tel Aviv for the erection of a sanitorium for the treatment of tuberculosis.

If the citizens of Tel Aviv make contributions toward the building of this long-needed institution, it is hoped that the government will respond with a grant, according to a statement issued by the League.

At present there is not a single sanitorium for those suffering from tuberculosis. In Tel Aviv alone, it is reported, there were at one time 200 infected persons walking about and spreading the disease.
