An announcement that it has severed all connection with the American Jewish Committee was made by the National Council of Young Israel, following adoption of a resolution on Sunday at its mid-Winter conference of the council.

The resolution asserts that “spokesmen for the American Jewish Committee have publicly advanced a credo for Jews to follow in this country which is inimical to their welfare as Jews and Americans.” Since the American Jewish Committee has not repudiated these utterances made by its members, the resolution urges members of the Young Israel organization “individually and collectively to join in the formal and public repudiation of the American Jewish Committee.”
