Mailamm to Give Concert in Yiddish

Jewish life through the medium of Yiddish songs will be presented by Anna Shomer-Rothenberg, interpreter of Yiddish folksongs, at a special lecture recital arranged by the Mailamm, the organization working for the promotion of music in Palestine, at the New York Jewish Club, 23 West Seventy-third street, on March 31.

Anna Shomer-Rothenberg is the author of the book “Songs Heard in Palestine.” She has gained a high reputation as a singer, lecturer and interpreter of Yiddish and Hebrew folksongs. Her interpretations have been highly praised in the general and in the Jewish press.

The concert given at the Jewish Club will be one of the recitals given by Mme. Shomer-Rothenberg which have always inspired her audience with a profound, lasting enthusiasm. The concert is given for the benefit of Mailamm.
