For the first time in the history of the metropolitan area the three groups of American Jewry—Orthodox, Conservative and Reform—have joined forces in a campaign which is intended to revive active interest in the Synagogue.

This plan, which calls for a campaign to increase the membership of the metropolitan synagogues, is being enthusiastically supported by the three groups and will be presented at a mass-meeting to be held Thursday evening at the Jewish Center, 131 West Eighty-sixth street.

Among the speakers will be Max L. Schallek of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, Lewis J. Moss of the United Synagogue of America, William Weiss, president of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, Dr. Samuel H. Goldenson of Temple Emanu-El, Dr. Herbert S. Goldstein of the Institutional Synagogue, Senator Albert Wald of the Synagogue Council of America and Dr. Elias L. Solomon of Shaarei-Zedek Synagogue.
