For the best novel of Jewish interest submitted before April 15, 1936, the Jewish Publication Society will award a prize of $2,500, J. Solis-Cohen Jr., president, announced at the society’s annual meeting here last night.

The prize, to be known as the Edwin Wolf Award, has been made available by Mrs. Blanche Kohn and Morris Wolf in memory of their father, Edwin Wolf, who until his death several months ago, was a trustee of the society.

The need for more Jewish books was stressed at the meeting by Rabbi Henry J. Berkowitz of Portland. Dr. Cyrus Adler and Dr. A. S. W. Rosenbach paid tribute to Edwin Wolf and Ludwig Vogelstein, trustees, who died during the year. A brief address was made by Rabbi H. Pereira Mendes of New York. All officers of the society were re-elected.
