The following new members have been added to the board of the women’s division of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities, it was announced yesterday: Mrs. Jacob A. Freedman; Mrs. Joseph H. Hirschorn and Mr. Joseph Rosenthal.
The volunteer service division of the Junior division of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities held its monthly meeting at the Jewish Hospital last night. Miss Sarah Waldstein, registrar of the United Jewish Agencies, was the principal speaker.
Dr. Alfred Salmony, exiled Reich professor, visiting lecturer in oriental art history at Mills College, California, was appointed lecturer in Chinese Art at Columbia University for the Summer session. Dr. Salmony was formerly connected with the Museum fur Ost Asiatische Kunst in Cologne.
