Bucharest Jews Fined $10,000 in Tax Delay

The Sephardic Jewish community of Bucharest has been fined 1,000,000 lei (approximately $10,000) for failure to fill out the official tax forms and to submit them in time to the Treasury Department.

The leaders of the community intended to lodge an appeal against the fine but were informed that their appeal would be rejected by the authorities.
