The enactment of a Jewish “Enoch Arden” law, a means whereby the traditional divorce laws of Judaism will be adjusted to meet the problem of the “aguna,” the deserted wife, will be one of the main themes of discussion at the thirty-fifth annual convention of the Rabbinical Assembly of America.

The convention will be held May 13 to 15 at Rockaway Park, L. I., sessions being divided between the buildings of Temple Beth El and the Belmont Inn Hotel. One hundred and fifty rabbis, from all over the United States and Canada have already certified their intention of attending the convention.
