Fraternity Gives Award to Posner

Louis S. Posner, member of the New York State Mortgage Commissiion, was to receive the New Orleans Trophy for conspicuous public service at a banquet of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity, Saturday evening in the Hotel St. Moritz. Posner is the fraternity’s founder.

The trophy, an ornamental plaque, is awarded annually by the Jewish college fraternity to the person considered by the members to have rendered the most noteworthy service to the community. Recipients in previous years were Leo Wolman of NRA and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Benjamin N. Cardozo.
