Fifty German-Jewish refugees returned today to the shores of Belgium from Brazil, unable to find a livelihood there. They were not permitted to land by the Belgian authorities.
The majority of the refugees proceeded to Brazil from countries other than Belgium. Their fate will be decided within a few days. It is believed that those who had migrated from Belgium will be permitted to land while the others will have to return to Brazil on the same steamer without touching Belgian soil.
