Vote to Broaden Citizenship Plan

Extension of the Americanization program of B’nai B’rith was voted at the annual convention of District Grand Lodge No. 2, held here this week.

The district also approved a large appropriation to its youth movement and the Hillel Foundation and decided to inaugurate a foundation at Pennsylvania State College.

Pittsburgh was selected for the 1936 parley. About 600 delegates attended the convention here.

Calvin Leichtman of this city was elected president. Other officers chosen were M. Leon Tolochko, Pittsburgh, first vice-president; Dr. Louis Gershenfield, Philadelphia, second vice-president; Charles Roemer, Paterson, N. J., third vice-president; Joseph Herbach, Philadelphia, secretary; and Dr. B. S. Pollock, Jersey City, treasurer.
