Complete order was restored today in the city of Grodno, Poland, where sixty Jews were injured in anti-Jewish attacks last week and where tension has prevailed until yesterday.
The Jewish schools were reopened today after having been closed for several days in fear of renewed anti-Jewish excesses. Thirty Poles and eight Jews are under arrest in connection with the riots and the self-defense which the Jews organized. Th investigation is being continued.
DISCUSS SEJM SEATS
Negotiations were started today between the Government Party and members of the Jewish Parliamentary Club in connection with the number of seats to be given to Jewish representatives in the next Parliament under the new electoral law.
The Government Party, it is understood, is offering six seats to the Jews in the Sejm. Some of the leaders of the Government Party are inclined to offer seven places to the Jews. The negotiations are being conducted in behalf of the existing Jewish parties in Poland, with the exception of the Bund and other Jewish Socialist parties.
