A thesis on “The Israelite Tribe of Half-Menasseh” won a Ph.D. degree at Johns Hopkins University today for Abraham Bergman of Palestine. Mr. Bergman was a student in the Oriental Seminary.
Seventy-five Jews were among the 422 students who received bachelor’s degrees at the commencement exercises here yesterday.
