“Modern Palestine,” the book published two years ago by Hadassah, has been literally read to death in the New York Public Library.
Dr. Joshua Bloch, director of the Jewish department of the library, has notified Mrs. Edward Jacobs, Hadassah national president, that the copy of “Modern Palestine” in his department is the most widely read reference book on Palestine. So frequently was it handled during the year that it is worn beyond use. He asked for and received a new copy.
