Jacob Frommer, well known Jewish writer on philosophic subjects, who is a German refugees, was released today after spending seven days in a Paris prison for not having left the country upon the expiration of his visa.

Mr. Frommer, who is 72, was today given a week’s time by the French authorities to leave the country. His situation is tragic since he has no visa to enter any other country. He was arrested in Germany during the World War as a pacifist and had to leave Germany when the Nazis came into power.
