The complaint that Jewry is “beset with too many generals” was voiced by Rabbi William Margolis of Congregation Ohab Zedek in an address which was to be delivered at a convention luncheon of the Council of Young Israel Saturday at Asbury Park, N. J.
He blamed upon poor leadership the failure of the Jews to “stem the tide of Hitlerism” and to arrive at national unity.
Declaring that the men of Young Israel “have sat back complacently too long,” he urged them to banish the “self-appointed Jewish leaders.”
The convention will continue today (Sunday).
