German Jewish youths are forced to emigrate because the majority of them can find no basis for social and economic life in Germany, according to an editorial appearing in the current number of the Judische Rundschau, official organ of the German Zionist Federation.

The editorial, dealing with the new compulsory labor law promulgated by the Hitler government last week, goes on to say that emigration alone will not solve the problem of the Jews in Germany. “German Jews must explore all possibilities for the participation of Jews in the duties of the State,” it declares.
