An exhibition of work by Jewish artists, especially young people who show promise, has been opened here in the Berlin Jewish Museum. Particular attention has been attracted by a head of Deborah by a boy of 18, Peter Fingeslein. Other notable works by young artists are a statue by Elisabeth Wolff and a Normandy Landscape by Martin Bloch.
Max Liebermann is represented at the exhibition by a portrait of his wife and granddaughter, painted ten years ago, and by his last unfinished painting, “The Return of Tobias,” on which he was working up to a few days before his death.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
