Hold Fete Tonight to Aid Appeal Drive

The clothing industry and allied trades of Greater New York will organize to aid the Greater New York United Jewish Appeal for the relief of Jews abroad at a dinner held tonight at the Metropolis Club, 105 West Fifty-seventh Street.

William Rosenwald, son of the late Julius Rosenwald, who is one of the national chairmen of the United Jewish Appeal and I. Edwin Goldwasser, who with Michael Schaap and Nathan Straus, head the Greater New York campaign, will be the principal speakers. Charles D. Jaffee, chairman of the clothing division will preside.

Following the dinner, an intensive campaign will be launched to raise this industry’s quota in this drive. A large committee, including the following, will direct the solicitation of funds in this industry: Simon Ackerman, Morris Asinof, L. Bachmann, David Bersin, Joseph C. Cohen, David Driesen, Morris Friedman, Benjamin Goldman, William Goldman, William P. Goldman, David Goldstein, Rudolph Greef, Isidor Grossman, Sol Heller, Sidney Hillman, H. M. Kahn, Samuel Koppel, Abraham Landau, Julius H. Levy, Joseph Levy, Herman Lissner, Henry Marks, Dr. Henry Moskowitz, Harry Oppenheimer, Isaac Rittenberg, Newman Rittenberg, Victor Riesenfeld, Louis Rose, Sol Rosenthal, Max J. Schneider, Maxwell Schneider, Julius Schwartz, Sigmund Seiferheld, Charles H. Silver, Morris Solomon, Louis Surut, I. Tompkin, Jerome I. Udell and Isidore Wolrich.
