The Wisconsin Central Federation of German Societies unequivocally rejected the swastika as the emblem to be displayed at the “German Day” celebration here on July 27 and 28. Twenty-seven member organizations voted against the swastika and fourteen for it.

By a vote of fifty-three to nineteen, Nazi delegates were ejected from a tumultous meeting called to count the votes.
