Catholics Warned to Join Boycott

It has long been apparent to the outside world and it must now be manifest to the Catholics that destruction of the Catholic Church is the ultimate end of the Nazis and that it is being pursued with a steady and relentless venom. Is it possible that our Catholic brethren are going to repeat the bunders of the German Jews in waiting until the final blow has fallen? Or will they now protect themselves?

Or is there possibly something deeper hidden? May not the fear of an impending economic crisis be motivating the Nazi leaders? May not the growing unrest, mainly underground as yet, an unrest largely caused by the continual lowering of the living standard of the German wage earner, be partly responsible for this new outbreak against both Jews and Catholics? By these new attacks upon Catholics, their churches and organizations and upon the Jews, the Nazis have again proven to an outraged world that no minorities are safe in Germany today.

BOYCOTT A SUCCESS

“Yesterday it was the Catholics, today the Jews. Tomorrow it may be the German Protestants, the Masons or the great body of German labor, each of which have in the past suffered under the Nazi lash. The boycott is the only effective weapon. If the Catholics of the world will join in this boycott as a body, they can destroy this unholy pagan reversion to the dark ages almost over night.

“These barbarians have no real conception of world opinion. That has been at the root of all Germany’s misfortune. The boycott is proving its success by the desperate attempts Dr. Schacht is making to increase German exports by means of dumping ‘subsidies’, by robbing Peter to pay Paul.

“A united boycott drive by Catholics, Protestants and Jews the world over will eventually cause the collapse of the German economy, will inevitably result in a restoration of their rights to the oppressed German racial, religious and political minorities.”
